The sea is the first attraction of Versilia:
here the beaches are fully equipped also for those who love fitness
and animation.
Always visibile from the beaches, the Apuan Alps are limestone mountains
riches in innumerabile varieties of marble known all over the world.
In the Apuan Alps, a regional park since 1985, there are still large
unspoilt areas that may be explored thanks to a network of path, ideal
for an easy walk of just a few hours or a more demanding traverse
from one refuge to another. Beyond Castennuovo Garfagnana is the Parco
dell'Orecchiella, where red deer, mouflons and roe deer may be observed. |
